The Quintessential Gentleman

Elevating Editorial Culture Through Consistent Production

The Publication

The Quintessential Gentleman is a digital media platform dedicated to amplifying Black men and the Black experience through culture, fashion, and storytelling. Every issue is anchored by a high-profile cover production — talent, styling, and editorial vision all coming together in a single shoot day.

The platform had a system in place and a clear visual identity when LeefShotIt was brought on. The work wasn't to reinvent the wheel — it was to sharpen it.

Grammy winners. Award-winning actors. Cultural tastemakers. Every interview produced to the same standard.

What's been built across every QG production is a repeatable, high-quality system that makes each cover shoot run efficiently and each piece of content land with the publication's editorial standard. Ten-plus covers in and the process is tighter than ever.

The result is a seamless integration of editorial photography and video — each issue living not just as a cover story but as a fully realized multimedia moment.

The Consistency

The Talent

The Standard

The role was to lead all video and social production within the cover shoot framework — standardizing the process, elevating the output, and building a streamlined pipeline that could run consistently across every issue.

That means arriving on set, setting up camera, lighting, and audio, directing talent through the interview, and handling all post-production through to final delivery. Every production is built with multi-platform distribution in mind from the jump — so the assets are ready to deploy the moment the edit is done.
